Rejuvenating the neck and restoring firmness

The neck, often less cared for than the face, is nonetheless a critical area that reveals signs of aging: double chin, loss of firmness, folds, wrinkles, and sagging...

« Do you have a wrinkled and sagging neck? The neck is a particularly delicate area, especially in women. What techniques can rejuvenate the neck and restore firmness to the face? »
Here are the neck-lifting solutions offered by aesthetic medicine that provide effective results.

Facial aging is an inevitable phenomenon.. The neck visibly ages, becoming prone to wrinkles, spots, and sagging. Loss of firmness begins subtly around the age of 40 and becomes more pronounced in the 50s.

Over time, the skin loses elasticity, muscles droop, and the volume of the face decreases, leading to skin sagging and the appearance of horizontal wrinkles, often exacerbated by sun exposure or sleeping positions.

« Fortunately, it is possible to treat skin and muscle sagging in the face and neck, restoring the appearance the face had a few years ago. »

It is important to understand that it is pointless to rejuvenate the neck if the base—the oval of the face—is not well-defined. The IUVENTU LIFT method, developed by Dr. Cooremans, allows the facial contour to be reshaped without surgery or scars.

Once the contour is redefined, Dr. Cooremans recommends treating the neck locally with various treatments. Here are our non-invasive methods, proven to effectively slow down the aging of the neck.

The ideal is to combine several techniques

1. Superficial Hydration. Using serums with vitamin C and A, and moisturizing creams. Don't forget an SPF 50 sunscreen every day.

2. Deep Hydration. It's important to understand that no cream can reach the dermis to hydrate it effectively. The solution lies in injections, using micro-needles, of hyaluronic acid and vitamins and minerals tailored to your skin, which is known as mesotherapy.

3. Firming. Intensive radiofrequency, combined with micro-needles, stimulates cells and fibroblasts to promote collagen and elastin production, which are essential for skin firmness. Each radiofrequency session is always followed by an LED session.

4. PDO (Polydioxanone) Resorbable Threads. These are placed in the dermis to help firm the skin. For more advanced cases, non-resorbable threads may be recommended.

5. Botulinum Toxin. This is also recommended, but only in cases of muscle tension, particularly to treat the platysma bands—these two visible bands under the aging neck skin, caused by the main neck muscle, the platysma.

« None of these methods are 100% effective when used alone. It's the combination of these different treatments that optimizes results. The worst mistake is to do nothing and wait too long to start. »
